🤝 Labour Agreement — Industry, Company-Specific & DAMA
▾
🤝 What is a Labour Agreement?
A Labour Agreement is a formal arrangement negotiated between the Australian Government (Department of Home Affairs) and an employer — either company-specific or covering an entire industry (e.g. Aged Care, Meat, Horticulture, Dairy). It allows employers to sponsor overseas workers in occupations or under conditions that fall outside the standard skilled visa programs.
Concessions available under Labour Agreements may include lower English requirements, reduced salary thresholds, relaxed age limits, lower skills assessment requirements, and reduced work experience — all negotiated case-by-case between the employer and the Department.
🏭 Industry LA
Fixed terms for a specific industry. Includes Aged Care, Meat Industry, Horticulture, Dairy, Advertising and more.
🏢 Company-Specific LA
Tailored to a single employer with exceptional labour needs not met by the standard visa programs.
🗺 DAMA
Designated Area Migration Agreement — covers regional employers for occupations and concessions beyond the standard programs.
